Tara Williamson - The Art of Grant Writing

The Art of Grant Writing:
How to Give Them What They're Really Looking For

With Tara Williamson

Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Lindsay Library
Basement Meeting Room  6:00pm – 7:30pm

You spend countless hours on your latest sculpture/short story/symphony.  You know there is a grant deadline looming but you would rather be creating art. That’s okay, you’ll slap something together for the grant at the last minute.

If we spent half the amount of time crafting a grant application as we do on the blueprints for our newest art project, we would have more money and time to
actually make our art.  So, how do we do that?

Join Tara Williamson to find out!

Tara is a professional musician, published writer and independent consultant who has been a successful grant recipient as an individual and as a member of collectives and non-profit arts organizations. Tara’s work has been supported by the Ontario Arts Council, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Banff Centre for the Arts and Manitoba Music.  For more information on Tara’s music, check out

Stay With Us!

After Tara’s presentation you are invited to join us for a KLAC Social & Networking Event upstairs in the Lindsay Gallery from 7:30pm – 9pm. Come visit with your artistic friends and enjoy the wonderful musical stylings of jazz duo Dennis Pendrith and Rob Phillips. This is a great opportunity to socialize and network with members of your arts community. Hors d’oeuvres are provided and a cash bar will be available with beer and wine.

Please know that you are welcome to join us at the Social & Networking Event whether or not you attend the grant writing presentation.

Tickets for both events are available at the door:
