“The Art of Arts Funding: How to Give Them What They're Really Looking For”

Grant applications can be cumbersome, intimidating, and it's sometimes hard to know what funders are looking for. This talk will highlight the most important parts of funding applications and give insight into what funders are really looking for.
Tara Williamson is a musician, writer, teacher, and aunty. She is Anishinaabe and Cree from the Prairies, but has also lived inQuebec, BC, and Ontario, having just spent 4 years in Peterborough. Tara is an accomplished professional musician (singer-songwriter) who has worked on projects with award winning producers and writers. She is currently working on a full length album and is also writing a musical under the mentorship of Tomson Highway. In addition to her arts practice, Tara has formal training in social work, law, and Indigenous governance and works as an independent post-secondary instructor and consultant.
