Michael Harris

Michael Harris’s photography explores mood and beauty created by landscape and light. The waterways of the Kawarthas are featured in many of his works where he interprets the layering of water, sky, and horizon in all seasons. With a particular interest in natural patterns, Michael captures frost on a verandah window at Clear Lake, stands of snow-covered fir trees in Tofino, shorn wheat fields in November.

A retired media executive,  Michael has served on many Toronto and Peterborough not-for-profit boards. He is on the board of SPARK Photo Festival, Canada’s largest regional photography festival. Michael has exhibited with Dianne Lister in five curated SPARK exhibitions, including “Swept Clear,” (2014)  “Sight Unseen” (2017) and “Almost Blue” (2018), and his works are held in several private collections.
