Globus Theatre Brings Acclaimed Actress from TV Series, Due South, to Bobcaygeon

Press Release

Bobcaygeon, June, 2019 - Globus Theatre is getting ready for its second professional production of the summer season and is delighted to share award winning playwright, John Spurway’s The Numbers Game with the Kawartha Lakes audience. This romantic comedy about first crushes, memories of high school and playing the odds features veteran actress from Due South, Ramona Milano and Globus Theatre returnee, Kevin Sepaul and is directed by Artistic Producer, James Barrett. It plays from July 3rd to July 13th at the Lakeview Arts Barn in Bobcaygeon.

Bernadette Davis was the most popular girl at Darwin High; Phil Gibson was on the math team. He was in love with her…she had no idea who he was. Fast forward through a few decades and a number of failed relationships, and Bernadette needs a roommate, while Phil, an actuary with marital problems of his own, needs a place to stay. The only thing they have in common is that they've both just been dumped. Does misery really love company? Join this unlikely duo as together they play the odds and figure out what really counts.

Playing Bernadette Davis is Ramona Milano, known for her role as Francesca Vecchio in Due South and Audra Torres in Degrassi: The Next Generation. Audiences might also have seen her in the film, Pushing Tin. While having an impressive film and TV background, she has also performed on stage for theatres all across Canada. Globus Theatre is thrilled to have her on our very own Bobcaygeon stage! Alongside Ramona, playing Phil Gibson, is Kevin Sepaul returning yet again to Globus Theatre! Kevin has been seen in multiple Globus Theatre productions over the last thirteen years including The Foursome and The Long Weekend. He is also known for his roles with Stage West, Charlottetown Festival, Persephone Theatre, and Drayton Entertainment.

“We are super excited to work with a talented and well established performer like Ramona. It’s always great when people of that caliber come to Bobcaygeon. We are also quite pleased to have Kevin Sepaul back again this year - he always brings so much laughter to our stage!” – Sarah Quick, Globus Theatre’s Artistic Director
