The Grand Ole Opry Comes to Bobcaygeon!

To share the Opry’s history is to share the story of Country Music. Globus Theatre is overjoyed to have Leisa Way’s Opry Gold in it’s 16th professional summer season! What began as a simple radio broadcast in 1925 is today a live entertainment phenomenon.  The Grand Ole Opry showcases a mix of country legends and the contemporary chart-toppers who have followed in their footsteps. Globus Theatre Brings Acclaimed Actress from TV Series, Due South, to Bobcaygeon

Globus Theatre is getting ready for its second professional production of the summer season and is delighted to share award winning playwright, John Spurway’s The Numbers Game with the Kawartha Lakes audience. This romantic comedy about first crushes, memories of high school and playing the odds features veteran actress from Due South, Ramona Milano and Globus Theatre returnee, Kevin Sepaul and is directed by Artistic Producer, James Barrett. It plays from July 3rd to July 13th at the Lakeview Arts Barn in Bobcaygeon.

Globus Theatre Welcomes New General Manager

Globus Theatre is thrilled to welcome Monique Renaud as the company’s first ever General Manager. Monique is a graduate of the University of Windsor’s Drama in Education and Community Program as well as the BFA Acting Program. She was previously the Public Relations Manager at Playwrights Guild of Canada and before that worked as a producer for independent theatres in Toronto.
