Quaker Oaks Farm is a family run business, and farm animal sanctuary, in the Kawartha Lakes region. Our name, is derived from a pacifist Quaker upbringing and the strength of the mighty oaks that have grown here on the farm forever, thus strength in pacifism. At Quaker Oaks Farm we choose to keep animals in trust that they are family. We are fortunate to have the ability to live a lifetime with those we can afford to shelter.

Our family was born and raised at Riverdale Farm in downtown Toronto. Judy and I met there, where a job became a passion and a passion became a dream, and a dream became reality, and reality became a business with compassion.

On a road with three names ( Monck Road,  County Rd. 45, or Hwy. 503. ), there sits a store with many names. Officially, Quaker Oaks Farm, and less formally ” the Betty Boop store ” or ” Tim Who? “, this hippie shop is an eclectic mix of great food, fresh baked goods and cool stuff. For twenty years now, our family has offered folks a welcoming place to stretch, relax, eat and take in a moment on our farm.

Quaker Oaks store is on a main artery to central Ontario’s cottage country. Open year round, we offer take out sandwiches, fresh made for most diets, from traditional to vegan and gluten free. Our baked goods are scratch made in small batches, ( With good notice, you can call or E- mail to reserve your order ). We are also part of the Kawartha Lakes butter tart tour.
