Gouache on canvas
“München Greens” (Munich Greens) by Lesley Drummond
9.5 x 11.5” framed

Lesley Drummond has been working in acrylics, mixed media on canvas, chalk pastel, ink and photography since her time at Queen’s University.  Retired from 30 years of running local secondary school Visual Art and Design Departments, she hopes to make time to up her production level now, continuing to work in a variety of media.

Her subject matter tends to focus on three areas:  structure (looking at the spaces in and around things), architecture of all types with imagery often taken from her travels, and a spiritual subject for her:  trees.  This small gouache on canvas is called “Munchen Greens” and comes from an exploration of the parks in Munich, Germany.

Lesley also spreads her time between being a trainer for Girl Guides of Canada, as Director of the Kawartha Arts Network (your local artists’ co-operative), sitting on the Board of KLAC, and renovating an old stone house.
