Original acrylic painting of Cardinal pair in Birch trees on 18” x 22” Vellum paper. This piece is framed in a black wood frame with a white and silver fillet and glass. The silver makes me think of frost that accompanies the vibrant colours of fall.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
For Darlene, arts, crafts, and sewing were always at the forefront of her life even as a child. It was only natural that her career would involve using the skills she learned so early on, so she gave her best as a dental technician in a lab in Toronto for 38 years. Darlene was still able to paint a little over the years, but once she retired, she dedicated her time to creating much more. Darlene paints mostly with acrylic and love nature and wildlife, so this is her main focus. She also works in multimedia and can't resist sculpting creatures from clay. She has a large selection of handmade cards from prints of her artwork available.
