Carrie Ruddy

Carrie Ruddy is a contemporary impressionistic artist who grew up in Coboconk, Ontario. She studied as a graphic designer at Durham College and worked several years as a design artist in Toronto before transitioning back into the fine arts. Carrie recently moved back into the Kawartha Lakes and now resides just outside her hometown where the captivating landscapes provide limitless inspiration for her work.

Carrie has a great love for nature. Not only for its magnificence but also the physical, emotional and spiritual healing it gives. There is a profound sense of connection, that we are all one. The intention of her work is to share the beauty of nature and the happiness it brings, as well as inspiring gratitude through environmental stewardship. 

Carrie’s work has been shown as part of the 100 Small Artworks Show and Sale at the Clarington Visual Arts Centre; the Trees Exhibition at the Colborne Street Gallery in Fenelon Falls; as part of The Durham Art Showcase at MP Erin O’Toole’s office as well as being featured in the bipartisan calendar.  

Carrie has won King’s Framing & Art Gallery Pastel Painting Contest September 2019 and most recently received the Special Merit Award from The Marketer Magazine for being selected as one of the top 50 Artists of the The Marketer Art Contest 2020.
