Music has always been an important part of community life in the City of Kawartha Lakes. Chances are if you have spent any time here you have probably had the good fortune to experience a performance by one of the many great performing groups that are part of our musical heritage. Over the years, the City of Kawartha Lakes has given birth to countless numbers of great bands and solo performers.

This community love of music is largely attributable to community groups like the Lindsay Kinsmen Marching Band, the Kawartha Big Band, Kawartha Kavaliers, Kawartha Male Chorus, Kawartha Lakes Singers and the Odyssey Project that have all provided valuable musical opportunities to the residents of the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Kawartha Lakes Concert Band aims to continue this tradition by providing residents with a top notch performance ensemble. Our goals are simple. First, we aim to bring together the great players from the City of Kawartha Lakes and the wonderful music of the traditional and contemporary Concert Band repertoire. Second, we hope to inspire todays young musicians to join in and become a part of their community through music.
