Nature has always been a tremendous source of inspiration and peace for me - a warm blanket of serenity. Nowhere am I more mindful, more aware, more calm than in nature. I see the beauty in simple things: the way the light strikes a tree just before sunset, the way the snow sparkles on a bright day, the way a lone tree stands out in the mist… For me photography is about capturing these simple, serene moments. By sharing them I hope to inspire you to, not only get outside and enjoy nature, but to truly see the beauty that surrounds you each and every day.
Accomplishments:
In April 2022, I had the privilege and honour of exhibiting my work with the very talented Jim Babbage at one of Ontario’s preeminent photography exhibitions: Spark Photo Festival. It was a tremendous learning experience. I was honoured to have some of my nature photography published in the 2022 Summer Issue of A Taste of the Kawarthas, an award winning lifestyle magazine by Karen Irvine. Prints - all of which feature the beauty of the Kawarthas - have also been on display at The Nutty Bean Cafe and The Cheesy Fromage in Lakefield and are currently for sale at Garden Style in Bridgenorth. You’ll also find my greeting cards, suitable for any occasion, for sale at Garden Style and Avant-Garden Shop in Peterborough.
